Works with revenue producing departments to research charge capture and compliance requirements. Initiates/coordinates additions and changes to ensure that services are compliantly billed. Other duties as assigned.

Summary:
Certification must be obtained within one year of hire date.
A minimum of two years of experience working in a health care setting performing registration, billing or medical records function is required.

Two years working in a Imaging clinic or hospital based facility is preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Associates degree related to Medical Billing and/or Coding is preferred.

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Associate (CCA) or Certified Coding Specialist- Physician-based (CCS-P) or eligible to take test and obtain designation within one year of hire date is required. Any Froedtert staff holding this position prior to June 2014 must obtain coding certification by June 2016. Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) is preferred.
