San Benito CISD recognized this year’s Health Science Technology graduates earning certificates in their field of study.
Hector Rendon, the district’s Director of Career Technical Education, commended students for their efforts.
“These students are college and career ready. They understand the employer’s needs and are equipped with the latest workforce skills,” Rendon said. “These students participated in internships, clinical rotations or job shadowing experiences that provided an invaluable first-hand knowledge about the real world.
The students enrolled in the school’s Career Technical Education program qualified to earn certification in the following areas: certified medical office assistant, certified medical assistant, medical assistant, certified insurance and coding specialist, insurance and coding specialist and emergency medical technician.
Rendon explained that the alignment of courses completed by these graduates ensure the skill development necessary to pass their respective state exams.
The honorees participated at a recent Health Science Technology Recognition Ceremony.
