Job Specification

One of SA Leading medical facilities in Johannesburg requires an Enrolled or Registered Nurse with the relevant qualifications with experience as a case manager and experience or qualification in advanced ICD & CPT Coding. The responsibilities will include:
Coding at hospital level
Translation, validation and capturing of clinical information into appropriate codes
Conducting coding audits on patients files
Adhere to coding policies and implement coding processes
Providing relevant information training to hospital staff
Interpret and implement instructions received from Head- and regional offices on coding audits
Participate in applicable forums by giving coding feedback
Perform responsibilities as part of the Clinical Hospital Committee
Minimum requirements and skills needed for position:
Nursing qualification (Enrolled or Registered Nurse)
Training in ICD10 and CPT4 coding
Experience as a Case Manager
Strong computer literacy (MS Office)
Accuracy and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Solid knowledge of ICU or Theatre will be an advantage
SANC Registration as a nurse
